Workshop Locations
The Department of Communities has funded the Wheatbelt Health Network to deliver ten 2-day art workshops across the Wheatbelt, in “Remote” regions. These regions are classified by the Modified Monash Model (MMM) and each town is ranked a number from 1 to 7, where 1 means it’s a major city, and 7 means it’s very remote. We are restricted to towns in levels 5 and 6, which is why Toodyay (5) is on the list but Northam (4) is not.
Locations are as follows. Please note that the dates may change due to various factors, including COVID.
Past Workshops:
Gingin – Photography – September 2021
Beverley – Metal Art – October 2021 (adults only)
Narembeen – Street Art – October 2021 (school-aged children only)
Dowerin – Digital Art – November 2021
Lake Grace – Creative Writing – December 2021
Wagin – Aboriginal Art – 22 & 23 March 2022
Toodyay – Mosaic – 6 & 7 April 2022
Moora – Music- 27 & 28 April 2022
Upcoming Workshops:
Beacon – Eco Textiles – NEW Dates: 4 & 5 May2022
Jurien Bay – Floral Art – 11 & 12 May 2022
If we have extra funds at the end of this project, we may choose to provide short, 3-hour workshops in additional locations. Please email [email protected] to have your location considered for an additional workshop location.
