Wheatbelt Support Services

Wheatbelt Support Services comprises a team of Counsellors and Psychologists, who together provide a free counselling service to the Wheatbelt. 

The Department of Health and Ageing's funding programs Access to Approved Psychological Services (ATAPS) and Rural Primary Health Services (RPHS) are the primary funders for Wheatbelt Support Services.

Wheatbelt Support Services' preference is for the client to be connected with a local GP.  Residents interested in attending the Counselling service are first encouraged to make an appointment with their GP who will submit a referral to the service or, if appropriate, to another mental health agency in the region.

Referrals to Wheatbelt Support Services are to be emailed via MMEx.    The referral template can be found below.
